Kaitlyn Guillen

My name is Kaitlyn and I am a Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach (CTNC) 


I, like many others, grew up being hyper aware of my body, getting fat, and fearing food. In middle school I tried to get my hands on pills like Hydroxycut, Metabolife, or even just green tea pills, anything that would help me lose weight and fit in the norms of what society told me I should look like.


At 13 my parents paid me to lose weight. And I did, but in the most unhealthy way, severely restricting calories. (PS my parents are absolutely amazing people and I don't hold it against them but I do realize how that experience shaped the way I viewed my body over the next few decades.)


From then on I was always on some sort of fad diet or calorie restriction. From weightwatchers, to the Abs diet, keto, low carb, intermittent fasting, the whole 30 you name it- I tried it. And sometimes the weight would come off but when the diet stopped, it would come right back. And I hate to break it to you but if you think a diet works and the weight comes back, the diet did not work!


It was after the birth of my son in 2020 that I decided to take a new approach to fat loss. I had gained a total of 50 pounds! I wanted to lose the weight but still needed to be able to nourish my son. When I was cleared, I started to work out again and I started to eat and shape my own diet. I started listening to my body and paying attention to things like, food quality, macro amounts, sleep quality, movement, energy levels and mindset. I opted for fueling rather than restricting. I was eating all the foods that I loved and still losing weight. Best of all I no longer feared food!


I am still a work in progress, but by focusing on real food, approachable fitness, and working on my mindset (a MAJOR  factor) I was able to and continue to change and shape my body into one I am proud of. In doing this, I realized what it's like to be free of the number on the scale and I finally started to feel good!

To know me is to know I love good food. What's better than being able to eat the foods that you love, and feel good in your skin?!
